Lack of Sleep could be killing you …. or your family

Prioritising sleep is as important as prioritising your diet and exercise. 4 in 10 people are lacking in sleep. Are you getting enough sleep? Do you know it is believed lack of sleep caused over 3000 deaths p.a. That includes industrial and road accidents.  When you are tired you are as dangerous as if you are over the limit on alcohol.

The effects of lack of sleep are similar to anxiety and stress i.e. Heart attack, stroke and diabetes to name a few.

The cost to the economy was a staggering $66.3 billion in 2016-2017
$26.2 billion lost in health care and presenteeism (lack of productivity)
$40 b from loss of wellbeing from sleep deprivation.

Suggest no coffee before bed No tv or digital devices 30 mins before bed. Why not have a warm shower and listen to relaxing music while getting ready for bed.
